day nine and ten in the sunny MB and trip home...

Such a sad day....the last day in MB...got awoken by the boys. the next hours were spend packing up all our crap which seemed to have exploded all over the house. After putting the place mostly back into tip top shape we fueled up the waverunners and headed to the beach.

miss hap with the waverunner not being quite attacked to the car.
Everyone else was hanging out at the hotel. John, Beth Anne and myself decided to enjoy the incredible weather on our last day on the beach.
A game of latter golf, Johns dad and I creamed John and Beth Anne.

So everyone but John, Beth Anne and myself took off for home. We stayed and got cleaned up and enjoyed one last sunset.

I got pretty lobster like on the beach =)

On our way out we stopped at North Myrtle Beach Fire station and picked up T-shirts.
The drive home! sun starting to come up
tunnel
It was a pretty un eventful ride. John drove for the first part while i was co pilot, then i switched with beth anne and grabbed a short nap. Beth Anne then took over pilot and i became the slightly spatic not quite awake very hyper co pilot. we took the tour the DC and attempted to get gas. all very exciting.
Made it home safe and sound. An awesome trip to MB. I miss it already. Although I am glad to be home to see my family =)
Hope you all have enjoyed the Sunny/rainy days in MB and the random thoughts of Liz. Until the next trip!
Be safe!

Day eight in the sunny MB

sleeping peacefully when awoken by the loudest thunder ive heard in years. Walk outside to my favorite balcony to find a tsunami going on.

Another flash of lightning and instant thunder that shakes the house. About 5 minute later the sound of sirens and soon appears the fire trucks, ambulances and police. The house the next street over got struck by lightning.

This is officer Louis on the phone with the people who rented us the golf carts, apparently there was no inspection stickers on them. So we got pulled over...in a golf cart...while sitting at a fire scene...we could have been fined 314 dollars but he decided to be nice.

Matt decided setting off some explosives would brighten the day.

Kyle watching from afar.
Going to miss this view!
Apparently not a fire cracker...but a smoke bomb....
that wouldn't stop...
so we threw it in the water.
it eventually stopped.
so we lite off some more.
in the bottle
matt looking proud of himself.
kyle giving death stare.
Me layin on the island.
I miss my family and my people =(

So John Mark found a guy just chillin in the water next to his waverunner that was out of gas in the middle of the ocean who seemed to have had a few to many. so he towed him back to the beach. John called 911 for him the next hour or 2 John spend on the phone with several rescue squads, the US coast guard and other various important people. All trying to get to this guy stuck on the island. Apparently they couldn't quite figure out how to get to him.

Poor guy stranded on the island.
As we waited for help to arrive i enjoyed the sunset.

Julie and Brian

Making sure the waverunner doesn't beach or float away

I continued to shoot the sunset, still no help for the poor guy.
So it eventually became to late for us to stay on the island, so with the US coast guard inbound to the island we headed for home.

Some miniture golf, I suck and mini golf =)

Next was a covert mission on the beach of setting off fireworks.

The onlly place we could fit matt.
Sorry day 8 of the blog is late, i fell asleep and didn't finish it and then was without interent for the next day.
